About Lowen's Natural Skincare

Lowen’s Natural Skincare is a family-owned and operated skin care company based in Calgary, Alberta. Conceived by a veteran Pharmacist committed to using organic, fair-trade, and/or locally-sourced ingredients, Lowen’s creates unique skin care products that are safe, effective, long-lasting, and affordable.

Their Story

Lowen’s Natural Skincare is inspired by and named after the family's daughter, Lowen (and her younger sister Simone). After unsuccessful trials of commercially-available diaper rash remedies, Registered Pharmacist Chad Zelensky used his pharmaceutical knowledge and clinical experience to develop an innovative natural diaper balm using unconventional, unrefined, high quality, locally-sourced ingredients. In time, Chad developed a formula that resolved Lowen’s diaper rash within days and it never came back! (and their youngest Simone and scores of other babies avoided rash as a result of using Lowen's balms)!

They knew other parents faced the same challenge and wanted to help them discover their product so that they too could prevent and treat their children’s rash. With that lofty goal in mind, Lowen’s Natural Skincare was born. After launching their flagship Butter Balm, through extensive research and tenacity, they expanded their product line to include a variety of other balms, lotions, cleansers, scrubs, hair care products and creams.
