Have you ever read the ingredients list on the back of your shampoo or conditioner bottle? The first ingredient is water. Every time. Typical shampoo is close to 80% water. We are paying for the water, paying to ship the water and most importantly, purchasing more in a new plastic bottle every month or so. It doesn't have to be this way! Solid shampoo and conditioner can do all the things liquid shampoo and conditioner do, arguably better because they aren't 80% water, all without plastic packaging. As an added bonus, many solid shampoo and conditioner bar makers are very environmentally conscious with their processes and ingredients as well as being very particular about the overall health implications of each ingredient they use.
